John "Tom" Shultz Obituary
Royal & Select Masonry is the second of three appendant organizations that make up the York Rite of Freemasonry. Local Councils in Ohio are governed by the Grand Council of Ohio, headquartered in Euclid and the state level presiding officer holds the title of "Grand Master". The state is divided into 9 districts called "Arches", each of which has an Arch Inspector who represents the Grand Master. The Arch Inspectors are responsible for inspecting each Council in their Arch annually to ensure that the Councils maintain ritualistic proficiency and sound management. Each Arch also has at least one Arch Adjutant whose primary responsibility is to review each Council's annual portrayal of the Super Excellent Master Degree, an honorary degree that is open to all Council members. The Third Arch covers seventeen Councils that are located in the southwestern section of Ohio.
